DR JOHN GULLOTTA AM

A/Prof John Gullotta joined the Matraville Medical Centre in 1992, after completing a Pharmacy Degree at Sydney University and a Medical degree at the University of Newcastle, graduating with Honours in 1991. In 1998 he was awarded a fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

He is Past President of the Australian Medical Association NSW and was a counsellor of the Federal AMA for 20 years. In November 2005 he was awarded the title of Adjunct Associate Professor in General Practice, Sydney Medical School at The University of Sydney. In 2006, he was elected a Fellow of the AMA in recognition of his outstanding service to the Association.

In 2014 he was appointed visiting fellow in Pharmacy at the Graduate School of Health, UTS Sydney.

He is the Past Chairman of the AMA NSW Charitable Foundation and Past President of the rotary Club of Maroubra and a Member of Variety – the Children’s Charity. In 1995 he was awarded an Australian Doctor GP Award and was the recipient of the Inaugural 2001 University of Newcastle Alumni Medal Sydney for his professional achievements and service to the community and the University.

In 2018 he was elected as a Branch Counsellor of the Order of Australia association NSW Branch.

A/Prof Gullotta is medical consultant to the Italian Consulate of Sydney and speaks fluent Italian. DR ANGELA ONG

Dr Angela Ong joined Matraville Medical Centre in 2001. She completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales graduating with honours in 1994.  She is a fellow of the Royal Australian Colleges of General Practitioners.

Dr Ong has been an instrumental part of the medical team at matraville for 18 years. Dr Ong also consults in Mandarin and Hokkien. Her interests are general practice,women’s health and paediatrics.

DR TONY YOUSSEF

Dr Tony Youssef is a consultant Specialist Geriatrician and General Physician available by GP referral. His practice focuses on managing chronic illnesses, promoting function, and optimising quality of life for patients in their later years.

With particular expertise in perioperative assessment for older patients, Dr Youssef helps ensure surgical safety and optimal outcomes. He holds appointments at multiple private hospitals including Hurstville Private, St George Private, Waratah Private, and President Private Hospital.

DR NAVIN SINGH

PRACTICE PRINCIPAL | SPECIALIST GENERAL PRACTITIONER

Dr Navin joined Matraville medical centre in 2025.Dr Navin Singh completed his schooling in New Zealand.

He had completed dental surgery at Otago University and is part of the Centurian cohort at the School of Dentistry at Otago University.  After completion of dentistry, Dr Singh spent a significant amount of time in rural and remote regions. He furthered his medical career at Griffith University. 

Dr Singh has a keen passion for teaching as well as learning.  He was involved at the School of Anatomy at Griffith and Monash University.  He had spent time in Tasmania and Gippsland to attain further skills in emergency medicine. He attained fellowship in General Practice in 2021.

He enjoys all aspects of general medicine, including emergency medicine.  His relocation to Matraville was a result of finding a like-minded medical team to ensure quality medical care to his patients.  He also hope to carry the vision of the medical centre established by the founders of this practice.
